Hanako Yoshimura at age 97 as sharp as a tack

June 29, 2012

HSTA-R member Betty Ann Yoshimura’s mother, Hanako, turned 97 on June 10.

On a recent visit the Big Dog and his daughter Jaclynn spent some time talking with Mrs. Yoshimura for a very enjoyable hour.

You could never tell that Hanako Yoshimura is 97 as she is as sharp as a tack and can articulate well.

The only slight problem that I noticed is that she is hard of hearing, but so is Steve Ono and we love him despite his lack of hearing.

Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Facility in Hilo is home for the elder Yoshimura.

Yoshimura credits her playing of Scrabble and watching of Jeopardy for keeping her mind sharp.
